Mimi (no relation to the Swiss psychiatrist Carl) is a Cooper Union alum and graphic designer who spent a year of post-grad, ironically, studying in Switzerland. After completing her studies in Basel, she worked as the in–house designer for AtelierFrankfurt in Germany while spending her spare time studying installation art under Tobias Rehbeger at Städel Schule in Frankfurt. Mimi returned stateside in early 2005 to join Green Team, where she worked as an art director/designer for environmental and social non-profits, sustainable travel destinations and progressive brands. In pursuit of a smaller studio with cultural clients, Mimi joined Pure+Applied in 2006. There she helps concept, design and produce books, exhibitions, identities and print collateral. Her work has been published in "Building Design Portfolios", Communication Arts Magazine and The Art Directors Club 86th Awards Annual. She is the legal guardian of Truffle, a five-year-old, long hair Chihuahua. In an effort to expand the family, she adopted Stitch, a pencil-eating Terrier from a local shelter and recently became Mrs. Hurewitz.
