WOVEN WINDOW, July 28, 2015 7:16pm (right)
Until Woven Window, Mimi Jung's work has made commentary on introversion and isolation - even viewers of her installations would interact with her pieces one at a time, in sparse, neutral settings. Now, Jung's focus is outward: Woven Window's colors and forms were determined by the sky view from her studio window. In creating the piece, Jung relinquished control and suspended judgment, allowing her work to be determined by the constantly shifting light throughout the day.
