Fragmented Pillar B presents a towering sculpture that evokes the remains of a column. The sand-cast form, with exposed bolts, draws from architectural language, suggesting both the resilience of a building’s structure and the vulnerability inherent in its decay. Originating from the loom, the cast aluminum retains the structural imprint of the continuous woven form, while also highlighting the absence through its discontinued edges and voids. By incorporating these references, Fragmented Pillar B invites reflection on the boundaries we construct and the passage of time, underscoring the fluidity of form and the ongoing negotiation between stability and fragility.
