Peer is a wall-mounted sculpture that explores themes of self-preservation and the tension between opposing forces. The work invites critical questions: What and who deserves shielding? How do we differentiate between the harmed and the harmful? And how fluid or static are these distinctions as they evolve across different contexts?

The translucent surface, marked by an accumulation of space between its hand-placed wefts, forms a veil suspended in the air, poised between concealment and revelation. The undulating forms suggest a movement that could either reveal or obscure, mirroring the shifting nature of self-preservation. Through this interaction, viewers are invited to reflect on the fluidity of our narratives—how they shift depending on perspective, context, and the forces at play.
